Sarah Harding Is Named British Forces Charity Ambassador – the former Girls Aloud singer has had some good news following her recent driving conviction as she has just been named as the new ambassador for a British Forces charity.
She looked worlds away from her earlier image as she posed for photos with some injured servicemen from the charity. She was wearing a stylish stripey monochrome dress that was bang on trend and she matched the dress with a pair of high-heeld black sandals.
It should be a good relationship for both parties as Sarah could do with some good PR after just losing her driving licence for 6 months following a conviction for using her mobile whilst driving. From the point of view of the servicemen we are sure they are delighted to have a new hot looking ex Girls Aloud member as the new ambassador for their charity.
Sarah’s new charity ambassador role is for the Haig Housing Trust, which is launching Coming Home, a new campaign that aims to provide adapted housing for servicemen who have been badly injured.
Prior to her new appointment it was Sarah’s friend and former bandmate Cheryl Cole that was best known for her work with the armed forces. In fact Cheryl Cole has often been referred to as the Forces Sweetheart so the announcement of Sarah Harding as the ambassador for the armed forces charity will have surprised a few people.
Sarah is currently working on material for a new solo album and has said that it will be an edgier and ”more mature” sound than she has been associated with before. The singer will certainly be able to draw on her own personal experiences over the last couple of years as she has seen various troubles in her personal life including relationship breakdowns and a stint in rehab following problems with depression and alcohol dependence.
